What is Jungian Psychotherapy?

At its roots, psychotherapy means “care for the soul.”

Jungian psychotherapy is an approach to therapy informed by the work of Dr. Carl G. Jung. It considers emotional struggles, life transitions, recurring patterns, and dreams as meaningful expressions of the psyche. Rather than viewing symptoms only as problems to eliminate, this work considers what they may be revealing and what parts of ourselves may be asking for attention.

Through careful listening and reflection, the process can bring greater awareness to limiting patterns, offer new perspectives on difficulties, and deepen our connection with the inner life. Dreams, symbols, emotions, and creativity may all become pathways toward greater self-understanding.

Along with relief from emotional pain, Jungian psychotherapy can foster self-acceptance, authenticity, creativity, and a renewed sense of purpose. At its heart, this work honors the psyche’s natural movement toward healing and wholeness.
